Best Las Vegas Sports Books – 5 Great Places to Watch NFL & NCAA Football in Las Vegas

Football is Back at Las Vegas Sports Books

Las Vegas sports books will be buzzing with activity this NFL and NCAA football season as locals and visitors alike take in all of the pigskin action. There are dozens of sports book choices in Vegas and for the most part, all of them have something unique to offer. But which Vegas sports books are the best for enjoying football? Here’s what we at The Vegas Parlay think are the top options for NFL and college football viewing in Vegas (in no particular order).

LVH

The LVH sports book is the world’s largest and provides a great set up for watching football within their sports book space. On top of that, a separate theater that holds over 1,500 people is opened up on NFL Sundays for the ultimate football viewing party.  Parking here is a breeze so you won’t miss any of the football action due to a long walk from the parking structure.

Touchdown Cheap food, easy parking access, a large-sized and very comfortable sports book, The LVH Theater aka Football Central is a party every Sunday. The LVH is also one of the most liberal when it comes to comped drinks – no drink tickets needed, just have your betting ticket(s) visible and the cocktail servers take care of the rest.

Punt  Off-strip location (the monorail has a stop here however), condition of the LVH property, which is in need of a facelift, food choices limited to “sports bar” cuisine.

MIRAGE – The Mirage recently reconfigured things and sports viewing here is amongst the best on the strip. A new jumbo HD screen upgrade adds to the appeal at The Mirage. As big as this place is, it can still get pretty packed so get here early on football weekends.

Touchdown The new HD screens are top notch and The Mirage sports book is still as classy and plush as it was when it opened 25 years ago. Ticket writers are loose with drink tickets if you are tipping.

Punt

Can get really crowded and good viewing areas are at a premium. Places for “sports book food” are limited, however a California Pizza kitchen is directly adjacent (no to go orders if you can believe that).

WYNN A classy spot and beautifully decorated sports book. The sports book has easy access from level 2 of the parking structure. As with all Wynn related amenities, the service is excellent. Zoozacrackers Deli (they will bring your meal right to your sports book seat) and the drug store café offer great food that you can take back to the sports book.

Touchdown Easy parking access, great customer service, excellent food choices nearby, and an intimate setting as this modern sports book was not built in the “SuperBook” mold.

Punt

Large screens for viewing are limited, good food is available nearby but pricey to coincide with the upscale Wynn, seating can be limited on big sports days. Drink ticket availability varies as some ticket writers here are tight, yet others are looser with handing out the free drink tickets.

Palazzo Lagasse’s StadiumThe former location of Jay Z’s 40/40 Club, Lagasse’s Stadium is one of the more unique sports books in all of Las Vegas. The space is a hybrid stadium/lounge set up that caters to an upscale crowd. If you want to impress friends or business associates, Lagasse’s Stadium is the spot…but be prepared to pay for the luxury as per person minimums of up to $100 for couch accommodations are the norm for busy sports days.

TouchdownUnique and upscale, excellent viewing sightlines and ultra high definition screens, Emeril Lagasse’s food menu, good service.

PuntMinimum food/drink orders to sit in certain lounge spots, free drinks only offered to “whale” type of bettors, reservations must be made way in advance to assure seating. Place seems to be perpetually sold out on big sports days.

Book & Stage at Cosmopolitan – Many people know that “Book & Stage” is not only a bar but also a lounge with live music in the evenings. What many don’t know is that this space, located on the first floor of the Cosmopolitan, is a functioning sports book on busy sports days. Sports wagers can be made at a kiosk located at the rear of the bar and there are ample screens within a lounge set up that coincides with the cool vibe of The Cosmopolitan. Book & Stage is jumping during football weekends and March Madness.

TouchdownThe drinks here are top notch and the bartenders have a reputation of being some of the friendliest and most skilled in town. Many people don’t know about the betting kiosk to the rear of the space so long lines are generally not an issue here.

PuntNo comped drinks and since booze here is at the premium level, drinks can be pricey. The space can get crowded during busy sports days and lounge seating is limited.
