If you would have made a list of potential Caesars Entertainment operated sports books to be remodeled, Harrah’s would have been on the bottom of the list. With Caesars run spots such as Flamingo, Bally’s, Rio, and Caesars Palace itself, it’s mildly surprising to see that Caesars chose the Harrah’s sports book to get the makeover.
The Vital Vegas blog Twitter account tweeted an image of the current remodel job and it looks substantial. What I was able to confirm is that new HD screens are on the way in addition to a modernization to the overall sports book space and bar. Everything should be ready to roll by football season.
One thing that hopefully does not change is the ease of getting drink tickets at the Harrah’s sports book. The ticket writers are generally pretty good here and at the adjacent Flamingo when it comes to drink tickets.
We’ll see what type of design, screen size, seating, etc. come about when the remodel is finished later this month. If Harrah’s does it right, this may just be a cool spot to hit for those looking for sports book action mid strip.
