Las Vegas Sports Books with the Best Food Options – The Strip

First in a series: Las Vegas Sports Books with the Best Food Options

Part of the fun of watching a sporting event is enjoying some tasty food – whether it’s at the stadium or at home, there is nothing like “ballpark” food when you’re catching the game. Luckily, there are several Las Vegas sports books that have some great food choices nearby. And who doesn’t like taking the game in at the sports book with a cold refreshment and some tasty Vegas fare?  In this series, The Vegas Parlay will cover sports books all over town, including downtown and off-strip locales, with tasty food options. This week – The Strip

Las Vegas Sports Books with the Best Food Options – The Strip

Planet Hollywood – Earl of Sandwich

The Playing Field Sports Book at Planet Hollywood has the distinction of having an Earl of Sandwich only steps away. Not only is “Earl’s” reasonably priced, but you’d be hard pressed to find a tastier sandwich for the money in all of Las Vegas. Soups and salads are also offered, but the claim to fame for this popular spot is the sandwiches. Plus, it’s super convenient to take a to-go order to the sports book.

The line to place an order at Earl of Sandwich is usually not short, but it moves along. And there’s nothing better than taking one of these tasty sandwiches to enjoy at your comfy sports book seat. The tuna melt is outstanding and their signature sandwich, The Full Montagu (roast beef, turkey, and cheeses) is also delicious.

Wynn – Zoozacrackers Deli

Zoozacrackers Deli is located directly adjacent to the posh Wynn sports book and is a great option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Zoozacrackers patterns itself as a New York style deli and their soups, sandwiches, and salads are outstanding. The Rueben sandwich, cobb salad, and matzo ball soup are all popular items here.

Zoozacracker’s proximity to the sports book makes a delicious meal at this spot super-convenient. As an added bonus, they will deliver your meal right to your sports book seat so you don’t have to miss any of the sports action. With the comfy accommodations in the Wynn sports book and the great deli fare at Zoozacrackers, it’s hard to go wrong.

Cosmopolitan – Secret Pizza

This place is not such a secret anymore – the lines get long during the late evening hours as the party crowd has discovered the Cosmpolitan’s “hidden” pizza parlor. Located on the 3rd floor of The Cosmopolitan is Secret Pizza, a New York style pizza joint hidden at the end of an unmarked corridor. The Cantor sports book at Cosmopolitan is located on the 2nd floor (one floor below Secret Pizza) and is a quick escalator or elevator ride away. The thin crust NY style pizza here is top notch.

Pizza is sold whole and by the slice (they will provide a small box for to-go slices) and you never know what types of pizza they’ll have available; it’s random, which is part of the fun. Taking a slice or two back downstairs to the sports book is a breeze and if you’d like, you can also take a draft beer to enjoy as well – they have Pabst Blue Ribbon and an IPA on tap. The beer is served in a red solo cup, which matches the red décor in the Cantor sports book perfectly.

Next week, we’ll look at off-strip sports books with tasty food options.
