College Football Comp Play via Paul Stone

TCU +8 over Oklahoma – Take away Oklahoma’s season-opening blasting of Florida Atlantic and the Sooners’ power rating puts them on the fringe of college football’s Top 15.

The Sooners clearly have major issues on defense, firing long-time defensive coordinator Mike Stoops following their 48-45 loss to Texas two weeks ago. Former East Carolina head coach Ruffin McNeil replaces Stoops, but I don’t see the switch breathing much life into Oklahoma’s stop unit.
Players play, coaches coach and the Sooners simply lack top shelf talent on the defensive side of the ball at the present.
TCU has lost three of its past four games and is being hampered by shaky play at quarterback from athletic first-year starter Shawn Robinson. The Horned Frogs are only averaging 15.7 points in three conference games this season, but I believe they get untracked – at least somewhat – against the Sooners.
Take home underdog TCU and 8 points.
