College Basketball Selections for 12/22/20

**Hofstra +13 (Wynn) at Richmond: Until Hofstra faces more defense-minded teams, I will continue to back them as double digit dogs.  Richmond likes to shoot the three and I see this game having a lot of offense, which is right up Hofstra’s alley. Hofstra is hitting at a 69% ATS clip over their last 77 games and behind their high scoring guards, Tareq Coburn and Jared Ray, I see them getting the cover here again.

Pitt +3 vs Louisville: After only being able to put up 48 points vs Wisconsin in their last game, Louisville gets no favors as they face a strong defense on the road at Pitt. Carlick Jones returns for Louisville after missing time with an injury, however Louisville still has a few players out and is banged up. Pitt is in the top 15 nationally for rebounding and head coach Jeff Capel should have his Panthers ready for this big ACC home contest. I like the home dog here.

LaSalle +9 (first half) at Maryland: This will be Maryland’s first game in 9 days after back to back losses where they scored 51 pts and 60 pts respectively. LaSalle’s underlying numbers are on an upward trajectory and as road underdogs, they covered against Drexel and barely missed the cover in a 4-pt loss at Army. LaSalle should be in this game and I’ll look at the generous first half number of +9 for my action here.
