MLB Props & Futures Now Available in Las Vegas

In addition to the usual over/under win totals, William Hill has posted some very interesting prop bets. These MLB season bets may be worth a look if you are in Las Vegas for March Madness or hit Sin City prior to MLB opening day. Here are a few examples of some interesting props being offered:

Who will have more hits, home runs, and RBIs?

Matt Kemp -110  or  Mike Trout -110

Who will have more strike outs?

Stephen Strasburg -125  or RA Dickey -110

Total Home Runs for Miguel Cabrera: 40 1/2

Over -110   Under -110

MLB Strikeout Leader odds (ranging from Yu Darvish at +500 to Madison Bumgarner +6000) are also listed.

Out of the few examples given above, we feel Strasburg at -125 to have more strikeouts than RA Dickey -110 is a steal. Strasburg’s 10.8 Dominance Rate (K per 9 innings) was best in MLB last season. Dickey’s move to the tough AL East combined with Strasburg having no innings limit this season leads us to believe that the National’s right hander will win this prop with ease.

Another interesting bet is the “Field” play for MLB strike out leader, which currently sits at +2800. There are several pitchers with high K per 9 innings rates that fall under the “Field” bet. Plus, at +2800, the odds are enticing.
