The New York Yankees signing of the most sought after pitcher on the free agent market, Masahiro Tanaka, won’t only impact the Bronx Bomber’s payroll and starting rotation this season. It will also certainly affect Las Vegas sports book MLB Future odds on the Yankees to win the World Series and the American League pennant.

When it became official that Robinson Cano was leaving the Bronx for Seattle, Las Vegas World Series future odds on the Yankees shifted from 16-1 to 20-1, with AL pennant odds showing a more modest increase moving from 8-1 to 9-1. If New York’s new Japanese hurler is more Yu Darvish than Daisuke Matsuzaka, combined with the Yankees middle of the lineup bats that include Mark Teixera, Jacoby Ellsbury, Carlos Beltran, and Brian McCann, then the current 20-1 number offers a lot of value…..just don’t expect it to stay at 20-1 for long.
