Las Vegas Super Book at Westgate Renovations Getting Closer

Renovations are already underway at the Westgate Hotel & Casino – new ownership took over the iconic property several months ago and work has started on remodeling of guest rooms as well as other parts of the property. What many sports book fans are waiting for are the upcoming changes to the Super Book. The iconic sports book (the world largest) is awaiting upgrades to the existing television screens and general refurbishing of the giant space that houses the sports and horse racing betting areas. But when?

Upgrades to the Super Book coming in 2015

“The renovations are coming, but nothing has been set in stone yet as to when we begin. We certainly won’t commence with anything until after March Madness,” was what Jay Kornegay, Westgate Sports Book Chief, advised during a recent communication with him. All sports books enjoy good crowds during the NCAA Basketball Tournament and the Super Book is no different. Putting off the temporary disruption due to construction during one of the busier periods for the Super Book makes sense.

Multiple sports books around town have upgraded their sports books recently; The Linq, Mirage, and TI to name a few. The Super Book however, has an opportunity to become the undisputed champion of Vegas sports books if screens are upgraded to the level of High Definition viewing found at places like the Venetian and Mirage. I, for one, cannot wait!
