College Football Comp Play via Paul Stone

Texas Tech +2 over Texas _ After ascending to No. 6 in the polls in mid-October, the Texas Longhorns have fallen on hard times, losing two straight close games at Oklahoma State (38-35) and on home soil to West Virginia (42-41).

The Longhorns are certainly an improved football team, but were overrated at No. 6 and now travel to Lubbock to play a Texas Tech team also off a straight up defeat, losing at home last week to highly-ranked Oklahoma, 51-46.
Texas Tech’s highly-efficient true freshman quarterback Alan Bowman will miss Saturday’s game due to a collapsed lung. His replacement, Jett Duffey, is not as proficient as a passer, but adds a dimension in in the running game.
Additionally, Duffey has shown marked improvement over the course of the season as a thrower.
I look for Texas’ season to continue on a downward spiral as the South Plains at night is no place for a struggling squad to get their ship righted.
Take Texas Tech plus the 2 points.
