Las Vegas Sports Book News – Westgate Super Book Update

Renovations to the world’s largest sports book continues as the Westgate Super Book is slated to have all upgrades completed by early to mid October. The Super Book’s business is still brisk as last college football Saturday, the sports book was very lively even with the construction activities. Plenty of space to sit and multiple windows open for placing bets.

The new HD screens have been up for several weeks and they provide the best visual amongst all Las Vegas sports books. Gigantic in size and crystal clear High Definition, it truly is something any Las Vegas sports book fan visiting town should see.

With the million dollar renovations come some changes to the Westgate Super Book. You’ll have to decide which ones you like, but the overall experience of the Super Book will be much improved from what was already a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.

Cha-Cha-Cha- Changes

Did My Team Cover? – The giant scoreboard screen now includes double-asterisks next to the team that covered the spread. This will surely come in handy for those that check their plays after  enjoying multiple adult beverages.

Non-Smoking – Once renovations are completed, the entire sports book will be a smoke free environment.

Drink Tickets – The drink ticket system was put into place a couple of weeks back. It was only a matter of time, but to the chagrin of some as the Super Book was the last major sports book to not require drink tickets. Bright side, the drink tickets were very easy to come by if you were placing bets (tipping helps).

Follow Your Bets at the Ticket Window – The ticket windows now provide a small screen, which allows you to scan your player’s card as well as follow along as you rattle off that 10-team parlay bet. A nice addition that will hopefully speed things up when lines are long.

VIP Areas – Designated areas for VIP horse and sports players will be provided.

The Westgate Super Book remains as one of the top choices amongst Las Vegas sports books. Hopefully, other sports books in town needing upgrades, and there are many, follow suit.
