Bally’s Las Vegas

Bally’s Race and Sports book

Seats: Over 250 seats within the sports book and connected VIP lounge

Screens: 11 big screens and over 100 individual monitors.

The Bally’s Race and Sports Book is located away from the main casino area adjacent to the food court on the main floor of the property. The sports book is dated, however the stadium style seating and the overall size of the space (one of the larger sized books on the strip) pays homage to the Vegas “super-sized” sports books of the past. Because of the number of seats provided, you are sure to find a spot to watch all of the sports action…even during busy sports days.

Getting to the sports book can be challenging if you are not staying at Bally’s, as you will have to walk a country mile if entering the casino from the hotel’s main entrance on the strip. Unless you are staying at Bally’s or are in the mood to walk off that recently completed buffet meal, be prepared for the journey to get here. The reward however is a sports book that is pretty liberal with drink tickets and has a decent selection of cheap eats nearby. The adjacent food court provides a myriad of options (Sbarro Pizza, Nathan’s Hot Dogs, etc.) and the connected snack bar provides the usual sports bar fare with beer on tap that is reasonably priced. The journey to get to this sports book may not be pretty – walking ramps and escalators are regularly out of order. Hopefully, Caesars Properties will give this classic hotel and casino the facelift it most definitely deserves.

Odds and Ends: The Bally’s Sports Book offers a VIP room for private parties and guests. There are vodka and beer specials in the VIP room, which may be a good alternative over higher-end “VIP” areas at othe sports books.
