Royals batters are striking out at a ridiculous 25% clip vs right handers over the last 21 days. That trend should continue tonight vs. Orioles RHP starter Tyler Wells. Wells’ high strike out rate is backed by his elite swing and miss numbers – I just can’t see a situation where Kansas City does much offensively tonight. Orioles hitters sit in the top-10 when it comes to on base percentage vs. lefties. Royals starter (LHP Daniel Lynch) has showed some good swing-and-miss stuff in a small sample size so far in 2023 (10 innings pitched), but walks have always been a problem for the young lefty. For this play, I’m going with the Orioles at home on the run line; a situation where they are 21-16 (57%) after a win so far this season..
