**Northwestern +9 at Michigan State. After starting their Big 10 conference slate with 4-losses in a row, I think Northwestern will be motivated to put in a strong effort at Michigan State on Saturday. Northwestern’s back court takes care of the ball extremely well and the offense is strong from the free throw line, which is always important when looking at single-digit point spreads. It should also be noted that Northwestern has kept things close in every game they’ve lost this season and they have yet to lose in double digits – something that odds makers feel will happen for the first time today. Michigan State is 20-26 (43.5%) in conference games over the past 3 years, which gives me a tad more confidence taking a stand vs Sparty here. As of this write up, Circa sports book has Northwestern posted at +9. Take the points.
