**Florida Atlantic -4.5 at Stetson: Florida Atlantic can get after it defensively and their athleticism will make for a pesky D vs a Stetson team that does not have much firepower with the ball. Stetson has covered only 3 of its last 9 games and this is not a good match up for them in my opinion. Lay the points with the road favorite here.
**Hofstra -1.5 at Monmouth: Monmouth finally will open up their season at home today vs a Hofstra team that is hitting their stride offensively in the early part of their campaign. Hofstra will want to do well in this first of 3 road games, which also includes a date at Richmond next week. Hofstra’s underlying numbers have been solid and they did not embarrass themselves vs Rutgers in their season opener. I like the Pride here as a slight favorite…lay it.
**Georgia Tech +8.5 at Florida State: From an ATS standpoint, the road team has done historically well in this series with the visitor covering 12 of the last 17 (71%) meetings. Georgia Tech protects the ball better than Florida State and will need to do just that to offset the Seminoles’ size and athleticism. Georgia Tech’s Moses Wright and Jose Alvarado both scored in double digits vs Florida State last year – the Yellow Jackets should not be overwhelmed in this spot. Take the points in this ACC opener for both teams.
