Spring is here, lines are chalked, hot dogs are grilling and March Madness is winding down. MLB’s first pitch has arrived and with it comes some great opportunities at season props. There is a whole menu to choose from – pitching performances, head to head match ups, division winners, etc. There are some interesting MLB prop plays to keep you entertained throughout the baseball season and it may even be a chance to build up the old bank roll for October when football rolls around. Listed props and odds are via William Hill sports books and also the Westgate Super Book. Here is a list of “Lucky 7” prop plays for the 2018 MLB season. Enjoy.
William Hill MLB Props
Most Strikeouts in Regular Season: Luis Severino -125 vs ***Noah Syndegaard +105
The Play: Noah Syndegaard +105. Severino is flat nasty and his second half last season was very strong striking out 123 batters in 99 innings pitched so he should be the favorite here. However, he tailed off in the post season basically pitching two extra games and his strike out numbers took a dive. Syndegaard returns after a partial lat tear limited him to 30 innings pitched last season. He was at 100 MPH during those starts at the end of the season and showed the same triple digit velocity in spring training. Avoiding injury is key – and if he can get a complete season in, Syndegaard should pump out tons of strike outs against many inexperienced NL East hitters. Severino will do well but look for a slight decline in Ks as the rigors of a full year, playoff stress and AL East batters takes effect.
The rest…….
