There are red flags taking the favorite here. First is the line movement. 95% of the money is on the Mets for today’s matinee at Citi Field. Yet, this line hasn’t moved much since it opened. For example, the Westgate SuperBook opened at DBacks +145 – as of this writing, the line moved to DBacks +147. Similar scenarios have played out in sports books this morning.
DBacks starter Zac Gallen is no slouch. It looks like the shoulder bursitis he dealt with in the spring is behind him as he ended up the exhibition season throwing in the mid-90s. Gallen will be on a pitch count today and I expect him to go all out. Yes, the Arizona bats stink, but we are only asking for one or two runs here in the first half of the game.
