A New Vegas Sports Book Coming to the Strip

With the announcement last week that it will be opening its first mid-strip sports book location, William Hill continues to expand locations and upgrade sports book spaces around Las Vegas. William Hill recently upgraded its State Line location in Primm Nevada, which is frequented by commuters as well as weekend gambling visitors. Also, with the Las Vegas Club being acquired by new ownership, there’s a possibility for another William Hill spot Downtown – an area where they already have a strong presence.

With a new location at Casino Royale on the horizon, it will give value minded sports bettors on the Vegas strip another option to shop for lines or simply enjoy a new Las Vegas sports book. Some people know Casino Royale as the “small casino on the strip where the Denny’s is.” Well, that and the White Castle that opened up last year are Casino Royale’s claims to fame. Now, one can add the “only spot on the Vegas strip with a William Hill sports book.” Hooters and SLS, where William Hill also operates sports books, are somewhat strip friendly but both are a tad away from the action.

Casino Royale is not the Mirage or Venetian, far from it. At this new William Hill location, which will be integrated into a new sports bar concept in the middle of the casino, you’ll be able to bring over a few White Castle Burgers to the sports book or perhaps a $1.99 foot-long hot dog, which is sold at the rear of the casino. Casino Royale also sells $1 Michelob bottles. Combine that with William Hill’s $2 minimum parlay cards – you’ve got yourselves a party. According to William Hill, the newest Las Vegas sports book on the strip will open sometime this winter. It will be fun to have another sports betting option on Las Vegas Boulevard, and at one of the few remaining “old school” strip spots to boot.

Shortly after writing this post, I was advised that the Foot-Long hot dogs are now $2.49. It was too good to last…..
