Kentucky Derby in Las Vegas
Some call it the fastest two minutes in sports and every first Saturday in May, the quest for a Triple Crown horse racing champion begins. If you are not one of the lucky ones to make it to Kentucky for the Derby, Las Vegas has a number of options for watching and betting on the “Run for the Roses.”

Kentucky Derby Parties in Las Vegas
LVH – The Kentucky Derby version of the “Pick the Ponies” contest takes place at The LVH during Kentucky Derby weekend. the LVH also offers a myriad of prop bets on the race.
Mirage – The Rhumbar will have a Kentucky Derby party in their patio area with $10 mint juleps and the wonderful warmth of Las Vegas in their outdoor area. The Mirage sports book is only steps away to get your betting action in on the big race.
The D – The Longbar will be showing the Kentucky Derby on their sports-viewing friendly flat screens with $6 Mint Juleps available. The D is also hosting a Sigma Derby tournament on the second floor vintage game area.

Gold Coast & Orleans – Both Boyd properties cater to horse players and Kentucky Derby day will be no different with ballroom set ups at each casino with food and drink tickets being given out for minimum wagers.
South Point – Kentucky Derby party in their spacious ballroom. Betting stations will be available and free drink and food coupons will be given out for minimum wagers. A free handicapping seminar will also take place on Friday afternoon.
