Encore, the sister hotel & casino property directly adjacent to Wynn does not have a poker room or a sports book. Reportedly, Encore is in the process of possibly soon having both. The Las Vegas Advisor reported that the poker room at Wynn will be moving to Encore – this will free up a substantial space in the Wynn property as the poker room is currently right next to the former space of the Maserati/Ferrari showroom. Combining the two will certainly create a nice space for whatever Wynn has planned for that area. What is, or perhaps was, nice about the Wynn poker room as well as the nearby sports book is that it is so easy to get to directly from the parking garage – it literally takes a minute or two.

The poker room may be leaving but the sports book at Wynn is not. However, Encore, which does not have a sports book, may be getting one….or at least a scaled down version of a sports book. With the construction of the new poker room at Encore, a sports book is also being talked about. It makes sense as the Venetian/Palazzo has a similar dual-property set up however unlike the current set up at Wynn/Encore, both spots have sports books – and good ones at that including Lagasse’s Stadium.
Encore Las Vegas
Wynn and Encore are classy spots and I have spent time at the Wynn sports book on occasion. Although I personally don’t expect a mega-sized sports book to show up at Encore in conjunction with their poker room changes, I do anticipate a cozy yet plush spot to watch and bet on sports. It’s good to see that Vegas sports books are actually popping up at new spots along the strip.
