College basketball does not tip off for another few weeks and the craziness of March Madness doesn’t get rolling for many months. However, action can already be had on NCAA basketball at Las Vegas sports books. That action would be in the way of future bets that are available at sports books up and down the Las Vegas strip as well as downtown and at off-strip sports betting shops.
NCAA Basketball Future Bets Available at Vegas Sports Books
247sports.com reported that a Texas Longhorn fan recently visited a Las Vegas sports book and placed a decent sized future play on Texas to win the NCAA Basketball championship. The sports bettor made the bet at the Paris sports book, which uses the Caesars Palace odds line on their board. The Longhorn fan wagered $1,000 to win $25,000 as he got 25-1 odds on the future bet – not a bad number at all for a team that is listed in the Top 10 in several pre-season college basketball polls.

Only advice I’d give is to shop around a bit if you are looking to place some coin on a future bet in Vegas. In this instance, a monorail ride to the Las Vegas Super Book at Westgate would have yielded 30-1 odds (instead of the 25-1 at Paris) on Texas to win “March Madness.”
