Best Las Vegas Sports Books – Downtown Grand
Screens: One jumbo high-def screen that breaks down into multiple (approx 12) screens for sports viewing.
Seats: Lounge/Table seating for approximately 20-25 people.
The Downtown Grand is located near Fremont Street along the new “Downtown 3rd” District of old Las Vegas. Within the Downtown Grand lies Downtown’s newest sports book – “The Spread” run by William Hill.
The space is not very big but is adequate for a downtown sports book, with lounge chairs and tables spread out horizontally in front of a very nice viewing set up. A large, rectangular HD screen takes up an entire wall, this screen breaks down into smaller screens to show multiple games.
The Spread Deli is directly connected to the sports book and I can see this place becoming a popular spot as this sports book and The Downtown Grand attracts more visitors. The 24 hour deli serves up, well, deli food! I got a glimpse of The Mob Club (roasted turkey, bacon, provolone, spinach) and the traditional Rueben and both looked delicious.
Free Drinks can be had here as well – the William Hill ticket writers, as is the norm at all William Hill spots, are very friendly. After making a few sports bets (and a buck or two tip for luck) I scored several drink tickets. Drink tickets can be redeemed at the adjacent bar connected to the cafe.
The Downtown Grand sports book is a great option amongst a growing number of quality sports books Downtown.
